Sidekick
Sidekick, the Shopify admin’s assistant, knows your stores and your store locator’s statistics. Ask it questions in plain language, without opening the app.
Ask a question
Section titled “Ask a question”- In the Shopify admin, open Sidekick.
- Ask your question, for example “Which shops are open on Sunday in Paris?”.
- The first time, Sidekick asks for your consent to read the app’s data: accept.
Each answer links to the store’s page in the app or to the app’s Analytics page.
Example questions
Section titled “Example questions”About your stores:
- “Which shops are open on Sunday in Paris?”
- “How many stores are still in draft?”
- “Which stores have no photo or no hours?”
- “Which shops offer Click & Collect?”
About your statistics:
- “How many directions were asked for in the last 7 days?”
- “Which are my most clicked stores this quarter?”
- “What do visitors search for without finding anything?”
- “Have calls gone up compared to last year?”
- “Which store page is viewed the most? What is its action rate?”

What Sidekick can read
Section titled “What Sidekick can read”| Topic | What it reads |
|---|---|
| Stores | The type (by which it can also filter), name, status, address, contact, hours, services, tags, number of photos, public page and publishing status. It also spots what is missing: photos, hours, coordinates, description, phone. |
| Statistics | What the Analytics page shows: views, directions, calls, emails, Near me, searches and searches without a result, with their change. It also compares with the same days last year. |
| Import format | The columns of the import file and their rules, to convert your file. |
For views, Sidekick first answers with the app’s figures. For your whole store’s traffic, it can also look at Shopify’s analytics, and then tells you where the figures come from.
